We are back on the road again after catching up with family.
Adelaide Hills (Mt Lofty Ranges) is very green and the native vegetation and crops looking the best we have ever seen them. Running water in the local major waterways the Finniss and Angas Rivers and Currency Creek, all look healthy. We had a wander around the Angas River park in the centre of town at Strathalbyn before having a farewell breakfast with family, it’s a beautiful park and a real asset to the town. Wildlife is plenty, we could hear Eastern Banjo Frogs, Limnodynastes dumerilii, calling.
We have travelled north then west a bit to Pandurra Station. A sheep station that also provides wonderful camping facilities. While you are close to the Eyre Highway, for the weary traveller it is a convenient stop. Meals can be ordered and they are served in part of the old shearing shed, surrounded by paintings and historic working farm memorabilia.
We have dodged the thunderstorms so far but they are building up just to the south of us and moving east. Its a starry night.
