Great Australia Bight – Cliffs, sand, mallee and whales. 18 August 2024

We love the rapid change in weather here, it makes every day on the walks a new adventure and different photographic opportunity. From Cirrus to Alto stratus and Alto cumulus to Cumulus and Fractostratus we see the environment above us change rapidly too, they are truly amazing skies; as manual weather reporters for the Bureau of Meteorology we learn a lot about clouds and their names and also their movement and behaviour.

Flowers continue to bud and blossom and there is an endless list to investigate to find out what they are called. We have noted camel activity on the plateau and sometimes they are seen.

With our visitors we explore historic farming infrastructure in and around Burnabbie ruins.
