Day 34 – Middle Lagoon
We are up early to watch the early light. Today we are heading back towards Broome to refuel and make our way East, this marks the beginning of our meanderings back to the East coast.
Seeing a grader on the road is a welcome sight.
We hit the highway, good bitumen and very very long straights. Fires along the way are typical this time of year. Though in the photo I’m sure someone may of fortuitously thrown a few tyres in the fuel mix.
We reach Fitzroy Crossing and call it a day. The Fitzroy River at our doorstep looks benign today but in flood it must be absolutely ferocious.
