Western Australia adventure – 9 September 2025

We are on the road again. Last night we camped in the Avon Valley National Park, today driving northbound and on back roads, there is beautiful scenery and more glimpses of the Avon River flowing well. We stop at Toodyay for lunch taking a bit of time to wander around town, some lovely old buildings to admire. There is still plenty of water running through other parts of the landscape, there are lakes and waterways everywhere.

Continuing onto Wongan Hills and dropping into the Information Centre to get the update on wildflowers. They advise us of the Christmas Rocks Walk where we find many varieties of orchids and other flowers lucky Western Australia.

Tonight we are at Dalwallinu, a busy centre in the wheatbelt and wildflower region.
