Onto Cape Jaffa today, it’s just down the road. Robe is still very busy and thriving during the warmer months.
We have a quick look at Boatswain Point, a sleepy small community just behind the foredunes. Plenty of seagrass has washed up onto the narrow beach, which appears less driven on and consequently supports more birdlife. Cormorants are perched on the racks of seagrass while a couple are fishing a little way offshore. A rocky island and reefs are just offshore.
Cape Jaffa is equally sleepy, a small commercial fishing port, the jetty is free of boats but you can buy fresh produce from local seafood processors.
We end the day enjoying the night sky show, a crisp cool night and the stars are bright.
