Tasmania 2016 – day 6

It’s a beautiful blue sky and crisp morning. We take a drive around the community and decide we must come back to the area again. We head back to the Nut to climb up the to the top the area is part of an ancient volcanic system. The coastline is rugged and picturesque.

We drive onto Sheffield via the coast, ducking in to look at the light house and lookout at Table Cape. The farmland is rich, the trees tall and straight and every coastal view is picture post card.

Sheffield is amazing known as a mural town, it doesn’t disappoint. Many  buildings have a mural. Landscapes, pioneer images or more contemporary art.  There is a newly finished Mosaic footpath depicting the local wildlife, it leads from the centre of town through a delightful park to an Art Gallery, it really is a pretty town.

One thing we have noted, Tassie towns are very clean and neat.

Our home tonight is Gowrie Park Wilderness Village nestled at the foot of Roland Mountain, just north of the cradle mountain area.
