Western Australia adventure – 9 July 2025

We have had a mix of wild weather and not so wild weather. Today has been a bit extreme with wind but the rain has been welcome and it’s sculptured the dunes so a lot of photographs taken and wood collected to keep warm.

Plenty of interesting flotsam and jetsam washed ashore, big cuttlefish bones and heaps of seagrass. Pink Cockatoos feeding and roosting on Leeside of dunes.

Grey sky and stormy winds 45+ knot winds make for some dramatic scenery. Wandered around fields of rhizomorphs and the hummocks of sand with vegetation that lost the battle with the elements.
