Our last day at Cape Jaffa, it has been cool for the last few days and very light sprinkles of rain overnight.
First stop is Kingston SE for a coffee and to plan out the day. After a nice coffee in the Bliss by the Sea, a lovely cafe in an old church, we are heading north, taking the Old Coorong Road and stopping at the Granites, access to the beach with a view over the Southern Ocean. We then enjoy a slow trip travelling past the salt-pan and marshes landscapes, the coastal vegetation is thick in areas then opens up to cleared meadows, there are kangaroos and wombats somewhere here.
Our camp tonight is nestled in the coastal scrub at the 42 Mile Crossing campsite. Plenty of plants in flower and fruiting. The birds are prolific here. Kangaroos are out grazing and we expect wombats later, plenty of burrows nearby.
