Qld-NSW-SA March-April 2024 – 14 March

We wake to light rain, and many small bushland birds are out and about, the Coorong is such a magical place for wildlife.

After a slow start, we leave camp and head towards Adelaide, we drop into Jack Point and Parnka Point, both wonderful spots to explore despite the grey skies and misty rain, the birds are enjoying the weather.

Lunch is on the banks of the Murray River where it meets Lake Alexandrina at Wellington SA. We chat to some locals who by chance is the grandfather of a little girl we met at Cape Jaffa, and he has friends on Russell Island Qld, just near home, what a small world we live in.

Our camp is Strathalbyn where we plan to catchup with family, we may be offline for a few days.

Driving around the back blocks of the Adelaide Hills on old familiar tracks brought back good memories. Dinner is at one of one of the many cosy pubs you can find in the hills, tonights meal was at the Hagen Arms, at Echunga.
