After checking out the Witchelina International airport its onward to Lyndhust for fuel and then head north along the Strzelecki Track to Innaminka. We stop at Montecollina bore. 49 years ago when I last stopped here it was flowing, very hot water but an oasis in the white dune field, today its dry, likely capped to protect the artesian basin. We reach Innaminka at sunset, use the new public showers for $2 and have dinner in the hotel. Camping near Cooper Creek on the town common, a $5 fee for the night.
