Another early morning, woken by an avian chorus on the Thomson River. There are fish in the river and signs of freshwater gastropods. We head West to connect with the Jundah Road and then head South. We travel through jump up country and broad endless plains. We pass road crews and road rains.

A quick fuel stop in Windorah for both vehicle and people and then it’s off to Birdsville. We check out ancient aboriginal wells and Dion’s lookout, fantastic views of the exspanse. Then a hot shower and dinner at the pub. 🙂 And a wine by the fire.
