Saturday I arrive in Hobart, pickup our van (accommodation for the week) and catchup with friends.

We visit a replica of Mawsons Hut it’s just around the corner from the visitors centre in downtown Hobart, it’s a worthwhile visit. We will never complain about the cold, Mawson and his crew living in a hut doing science and exploration in Antartica, talk about tough.

Whiskey tasting at Larks, very nice, very warming.

We walk around town in the cool of the evening then dinner at the old Customs House.
