Today we travel up the Berkerley River. Just when you think you have seen it all the Kimberley once again surprises us. The coastline is a mix of sand dune systems and rocky hills. The river is broad and wide for many kilometres, mangrove lined until you reach the gorges, which then open up to a broad rocky plain dotted with jump ups some pyramid shaped others flat tops.
The waterfall provides a very refreshing spot to swim. Smaller falls are running off the side in small gorges and within the fractured walls that line the river.
The tide is running fast and it drops metres, we escape the exposed sand bars that blanket the mouth of the river with minutes to spare. 😀

Beautiful pics Simon!
Thanks Paul. It’s very easy to take great photos when the subject is so wonderful
