We take the tenders to Bigge Is to look at art sites, on the beach there are turtle and crocodile tracks, at the top of the beach we find a number of turtle nests. It seems very late or very early for turtle nesting nesting, but it may be a species which nest all year round.
We take time to look at the indigenous art work. The art sites are varied with some deep in sea caves and others on protected overhangs.
There was some micro bats roosting in one of the caves we couldn’t identify them but it was nice to see them.
Given these historical/ cultural sites are older than anything you can find anywhere in the world we are feeling privileged to be able to see them.
Around the other side of the island is a nice beach for a quick cooling dip.
When we get back to the Oceanic large Lemon Sharks are swimming around the boat. A harmless shark if left alone. They have a symbiotic relationship with Slender Suckerfish, that are attached or is very close pursuit.
