Kimberley 2016 – Day 10 – King George Basin – Prince Regent River

We start the morning with a spectacular trip via tender 40 km up the Prince Regent River. No houses, no roads, no development of any kind what a wild place this is. We sight many fish and birds, including  a small flock of Whimbrels.

The waterfalls are beautiful and King Cascade is very special. We even see a Pitta. Crocodiles rarely seen but are there.

Some time is spent fishing by the crew and it doesn’t take long until a few barramundi and mangrove jack are caught.

It’s sadly back to the boat leaving this magic place to return back to the boat.

Dolphins swim alongside the bow as we head to Bigge Island.
