Kingfisher Camp is an outstation of Bowthorn Station, it’s set on a five kilometre stretch of permanent water on the Nicholson River.
We spend another night under the stars. Kangaroos feed around our bed and a few other critters that couldn’t be identified. Had a look at the Nicholson River, has plenty water and it’s wide.
Three vehicles in convoy today. The family members also on the road all leave Kingfisher Camp and we head to Lawn Hill. The road is a bit dusty today. There is some interesting country on this stretch but the lack of a wet season is telling on the vegetation.
We pass Bowthorn Station homestead, the old stone shed at the front gate is in good order.
I find myself a new truck along the way, it would have been a real work horse in its day.
Despite the ordinary wet the Lawn Hill crossing is still a beautiful spot.
