Drysdale River Station to Mitchell Plateau – Day 16

We have breakfast with Margie and Robyn. We are visited by the local Little Egret. We head on North for the Mitchell Plateau. The is still plenty of water in the Drysdale River. A quick stop at King Edward Falls for a coffee break then onto the plateau.

We arrive at the campsite at about lunchtime, quickly set up camp then make a beeline for the creek. It’s running and it’s cool.

The road was rough, probably the worst we have seen it and later on find out at least 3 vehicles today have sustained damage, some are waiting on parts and this will take 7 days in some instances. It’s just another reminder about the remoteness of this country. No mechanics by the way, you need to install parts by yourself!

Track (31/05/2015 8:05:04am) Drysdale River Station to Mitchell Plateau in Explorer. You can view a map of it on Hema Explorer Cloud.
