Kimberley 2013 – day 31

We spent the day around Kununurra after our truck fuel tank decided to spring a leak, several actually. We thought this would take weeks to resolve, getting mechanics let alone engineers in this part of the world at this time of the year is a challenge.

Thankfully the guys at 4×4 spares (ARB) came to our assistance. They were amazing. At short notice they pulled out the tank sent it off to an engineering firm to weld up and then reinstall. Perfect service is all we could say. Talked us through what they could do and the likely timeframe involved then exceeded our expectations. They even handled the warranty discussions with the maker of the fuel tank. They really knew their stuff. We cannot thank or recommend them enough.

If you ever need mechanical help in Kununurra we suggest you visit 4×4 spares.

The day wasn’t wasted despite the angst of spreading diesel from one end of Kununurra to the other. We visited the Sandalwood factory and Zebra Rock shop. Coffee with Margie at Ivanhoe then dinner, it all made for another pleasant day.

We are preparing to head off down the Duncan Road making our way to Alice Springs. Off the air until then.
