A relaxed day today.
The truck went into ARB at Kununurra for a well deserved service, they did a great job. We will make it back home – bugger.
We visited some local aboriginal art sites off the tourist track, it was located 30km from Kununurra in a beautiful rugged gorge. Great art. We are constantly amazed at the native fish life that can be found in the smallest of waterholes or waterways, this gorge was no different.
We stop at Ivanhoe Farm for lunch, great food and drinks.
Then Kimberley Rum Cake at the Hoochery, a boutique Rum distillery, another great must visit. It is the oldest operating distillery in Western Australia
We tour the Ord River scheme, impressive regardless of one’s views on the matter. A Range borders part of the farmland, itself very picturesque.
A stop at a wetland just a couple kms from Margie’s place is also special, plenty of water and water birds.
Night is warm and home cooked dinner is a welcome change.
