Kimberley 2013 – day 9

Late rise, 6.20am. Funny how sunrise and sunset and noise of wildlife dictate terms of sleep and waking hours. Lots of blue sky and morning is mild : ) still very windy.

We crossed the old Fitzroy Crossing bridge and wandered out to Geikie Gorge for a short walk.

We sight our first Boab trees, they are good to see, many still in full leaf, being deciduous they will soon lose them.

We reach Broome with plenty of time to shop for supplies and parts. Will rest and look around Broome for a couple of days before heading up to the Dampier Peninsula.
