The Dark clouds that have been shadowing us for days to the South crept in over night and it began to lightly rain. We decide the further North West we go the better the chance of avoiding the rain. We pack up early and wander down the road to have breakfast at Wolfe Creek crater at sunrise with no rain.
All was quiet until some nong (Marg suggested some other words but children might be reading this blog) had his photo taken with his gun in front of the Wolfe Creek sign. He warned us at least he was going to do it. The chap we were talking to said all ok but he would get his Ned Kelly suit out just in case all went wrong. Pity the Wolfe Creek movie as nothing to do with Wolfe Creek.
We reach the Great Northern Highway at 9.50am WA time. Heading West for Fitzroy Crossing.
