It has been a busy few days between a full house of guests to rescuing an unfortunate driver off the beach who has bogged their vehicle in the sand. It was fortunate that we had been exploring the eastern end of Kanidal beach when we found the driver walking back towards our base a further 4 km from where we found him.

The vehicle was rescued but it was just another example of how important local knowledge is to anyone wanting to travel this remote landscape. The beaches here change daily and can become quite treacherous and it can be a lonely places for many days.

Amongst the excitement we managed to photograph flowers and landscapes from the air and ground level.
