It is now dark when we do the weather, but a great time to see and or hear the night creatures, such as the geckos. It is also our Cocklebiddy run today and we get the opportunity to travel across the Pannikin Plain. Though the rain has been light it has prompted many small plant species to flower. We find a Bustard, Ardeotis australis, these are found on dry plains, grasslands and open woodland. They are ground-dwelling bird, once ywidespread in open habitats across much of mainland Australia they are still widespread in the north but are increasingly rare or extinct in the south. The sunset over the western dunes is very easy on the eye.
