Qld-NSW-SA March-April 2024 – 6 April

We leave Peterborough and travel north and east stopping at Broken Hill. Broken Hill has much to offer, we have been here many times and always find something new to visit and enjoy. The Pro Hart gallery is one of these. Beautiful and interesting works of art, we learn about the artist, view his studio and famous paint gun. Across the road in a park are many of his sculptures.

Dinner is at the Musicians Club, it’s very busy so it must be good and we are not disappointed.

At sunset we visit Line of Lode Miner’s Memorial, there are great views of the town and the sunset. The memorial is to the miners who have lost their lives at Broken Hill from when it first opened in the 1800’s, the name and cause of death is etched into glass for each one. We take the time to reflect upon these tragedies.

Of course if you enjoy geology and examining the rocks of the region this region is a dream location. We had a look at the Gossan Outcrop.
