2021 trip – day 15 Goolwa

Its a day spent with the family visiting the towns and sites we often spent our summer holidays. Goolwa is the gateway to the Coorong and the picturesque farmland around the Finniss River and Murray River that flows between Clayton and Hindmarsh Island after it flows through Lake Alexandrina. Milang is a famous historic paddlesteamer port on the lake and Langhorne Creek is a beautiful but lesser known wine growing area nestled amongst the giant river red gums, it’s the only known wine growing area in the world fed by natural and induced flooding. Lunch was at The Winehouse an delightful little establishment with lovely grounds and amazing food. It was great to see the old Goolwa to Victor Harbor Cockle Train running. Here is a small video of some of the sites. https://gopro.com/v/NlMyRD08O9wvy
