2020 trip – day 2 – Biloela – Lloyd Jones Weir

Off to early start again, a great time to cruise, cool morning and soft light, great for taking photos. We find interesting plants to stop and look at, some in flower – native hibiscus and others in fruit. We have a quick stop at Rannes and later cross the Dawson River at Baralaba.

We stop for lunch at Emerald, on the bank of the Nogoa River and adjacent to the Botanical Gardens. A very pretty spot and appears to frequented by travellers and locals alike.

We travel over the Drummond Range and onto Barcaldine, we set up camp at the Lloyd Jones Weir on the Alice River.
