Today we travelled further along the Oodnadatta Track visiting the historical Ghan Railway sites, bubbling mound springs with a refreshing dip at Coward Springs and finally making William Creek our campsite for the night. The town is busy, the pub full but they continue to serve cold drinks and a good dinner.
We are keen to see Lake Eyre with water so some of the family take off in a small 4 seater plane and traverse the Lake from South to North and back again. Others hope to take their ultra light motorised kite to the air, for the latter it’s too windy and they are grounded, the former have a great view of the lake filling with large number of water birds now calling it home. It was spectacular!
Flies are a hazard and we will need to check the air filter as it maybe full of flies.
