Despite having to share our camp with free loaders who occupied our campsite we have a lovely stay at the remote campground. It’s important that everybody has the opportunity to visit our parks but it is annoying that many people will not pay camping fees despite having the capacity to pay. More annoying is that park rangers are more endangered than Bilbies so it leaves the negotiation of campsite ownership to the camper. I don’t think I have ever seen a South Australian Park Ranger so there is no proof of their existence. The same can’t be said about feral goats and rabbits.
In the morning we travelled north through the Ranges and then through Brachina Gorge which is stunning. Plenty of geological history to explore. We head onto Copley for a Quandong pie, yum, then onto Marree and a stop overnight along the Oodnadatta track camping under the brilliant night stars with family who met us there.
