We are up early and slowly organise ourselves to continue along the Alpine Way in Kosciuszko NP. It’s a windy slow but picturesque drive through tall eucalypt forest. We stop along the way to enjoy the mountain scenery and stop at Tom Groggin to view the Murray River, crystal clear and flowing.
We make Jindabyne in time for a pie (yum) and head down Barry Way, which follows the Snowy River for a good length of this windy narrow road bounded by mountain on one side and shear drop off on the other.
We stop at Suggan Buggan to look at the historical school house, tough kids and likely even tougher and committed teacher. We continue onto Black Mountain then along the Limestone Road to Native Dog Flat where we have setup camp for the night.
