5th June 2018 – Mornington Wilderness Camp

Today we slept well, at least until the chorus of birds woke us.

We laze around camp watching the wildlife then off to the waterholes for a swim.

We spend a good part of the day swimming and watching the wildlife at Cajeput ( a beautiful and calm stretch of the Fitzroy River ) then after lunch to Bluebush lagoon for a look and swim.

Dinner at the restaurant, chats with travellers and locals then listen to an interesting talk about Australian Wildlife Conservancy and their great work in the Kimberley. They own or control a lot of land, all managed for conservation and the work they are doing on Fire management and feral cat control is very good.
