29th May 2018 – Coober Pedy to Alice Springs

A long drive today. We drove through the Breakaways which is reminiscent of the painted desert near Arckaringa Hills.

Blue skies and warm weather is now the norm.

Wedgetail Eagles are common along the road feasting on road kill.

The armada of caravans on the road must be a boon for local communities, hoping to leave them behind as we venture onto the red dust and corrugations.
