We are anchored off Raft Point. Another fabulous sun rise.

It’s then a short trip to Montgomery Reef another Kimberley icon. We watch the water cascading off the reef, fish, coral and bird life and more turtles than we’ve ever seen in one place. It is one of the highlights of the trip to date.

We then make our way to Ruby Falls. We pass two naval catamarans surveying this region and see Kimberley Quest in the distance. Dropping anchor in Doubtful Bay and take the tenders up one of the many mangrove lined creeks from Red Cone Inlet, till we come to Ruby Falls, a delightful freshwater oasis and a safe place for a swim.  Plenty of fresh water flowing over the escarpment.

Bird life and fish life is plenty. A pair of white bellied sea eagles delight us with their graceful midair manoeuvres. As we make our way back to the tenders a croc approaches to see what we are up to.

More clouds building in the distance we look forward to our nightly light show from the foredeck.  No rain early in the evening although a sharp storm hits us overnight and rinses off the decks. Below decks we notice some stronger movement than usual but the Oceanic rides it well.
