Kununurra – Day 26

We have had a wonderful time in Kununurra catching up with new friends for dinner and spending time relaxing.

Today we spent time on the water with Margie in her boat.  We explored the Everglades, as the locals call it, looking at the landscapes, bird life and aboriginal art. Despite the Lake Argyle project swamping  European cultural and environmental values, new and unique habitats have been created. Today we saw more Shining Flycatchers than we have seen anywhere. Freshwater crocodiles, fish and birds are prevalent. The aboriginal art included engravings, which was quite special.
