Kimberley 2013 – day 23

Up early to take photographs looking out from underneath Little Merten’s Falls, a bit more of a look at some of the aboriginal rock art and scrounging looking for rainforest land snails for Simon.

Cruise slowly down the plateau seeing plenty of birds and a dingo. Stop and take a few pictures over the escarpment.

We stop and look at an excellent aboriginal site, rock art is some of the best you will see and its site where aboriginal remains have been left within the cavity of rocky outcrops. If it was on the East coast I’m sure it would have been vandalized by now.

Arrive at King Edward Falls and first cold drink then off to the lagoon for a swim.

We wander down to the falls, watching native fish trying to jump back up the falls. Water is still pouring over these falls.

Black Cockatoos, native fish and sun dews catch our attention.
