We opt to stay around camp and relax and look about.

We climb the hill near camp and get a good view West to the falls.

We then pick up our day pack and head to Little Merten’s Creek where we spend the morning enjoying the cool offered by a fast running creek.

Lunch, temperature has reached about 38 Celsius under the awning of our truck; back to the creek to enjoy the cool rapids.

After dinner we wandered down to creek (it was dark) checking out local wildlife. Plenty of fish, frogs and even a native cat seen scampering off the track on the way home.
