Day 44 – Ubirr – Cooinda – Katherine

We leave Ubirr (Merl Campground), and stop at the Mamukala wetlands (beautiful)for a few photos then continue to travel West on the Arnhem Highway past South Alligator to find a track that takes us across to the Jim Jim road then Kakadu Highway. It’s a bit of a billy goat track in parts and some moderately challenging creek crossings but its all adventurous and the billabongs we pass are just wonderful.
