Day 42 – Garnamarr – Ubirr

We drop into the Bowali visitor centre and its well worth the stop. It has a great interpretative centre, a cinema that shows a variety of videos that informs you about Kakadu and it’s people, history and there are good facilities.

We make our camp at Merl and travel onto the border store, other travelers we had met said this was a little gem and it is. We enjoyed a Thai curry for early dinner before heading onto Ubirr to listen to talks given by rangers about rock art and local culture then it was up to the lookout to watch the sunset.

The sunset and view from Urbirr is spectacular.
