Day 30 – Broome

While Margie works at the hospital today the rest of us tour the sites.

Broome is an interesting town built on Pearling but certainly tourism rules now.

There is certainly a contrast in wealth.

The museum is a must see, the stories of the pearlers (Japanese,aboriginal), indigenous folk and war leave their mark.

The sea is an aqua blue, add in the green of the mangrove fringe and stark white sand and blood red landscape its not surprising why so many stay in Broome. However, I do miss the peace of the bush, swimming in the gorges,  the brilliant starry nights and call of the owls and dingoes.
