Day 2

Farewell Kris and David at Longreach heading off to Riverleigh World Heritage fossil site. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riversleigh

Flocks of Budgies and even a small flock of Bustards (Ardeotis Australia) as opposed to a pack of bastards.

Blowing a gale at present.

Stopped at Winton. And look, in Banjo’s hand is the Rowley Bristow it even helps to write poetry.

Through to Cloncurry, Mt Isa then turn North before reaching Camooweal past Thorntonia across the O’Shannassy and Gregory Rivers the latter flowing very fast but crossing easy if cautious. Pitch black and thanks to the Satellite phone Alix helped us track down the mysterious Miyumba bush campsite. No advisable to drive at night as we did and makes finding the unsigned posted site challenging. Late dinner slept like logs only to be woken by Agile wallabies bounding past the camp.

Been on dirt roads since turnoff before Camooweal but all good perhaps a little lumpy at times.
