Under the cover of darkness the Barking Geckoes, Underwoodisaurus milii rule the footpaths and the walls of the building. Today started off as a cool morning but quickly became a beautiful day with chiefly a blue sky. Plenty of birds are active.
With end of month maintenance work finished we take time to visit the original telegraph station ruins and the eastern dune systems, these are a spectacular dune system. As the East track passes the Eyre memorial we show our visitors.
Plenty of Scaevola crassifolia, Thick-leaved Fanflower flowering. It was first collected by Jacques Labillardière in December 1792 at Esperance Bay; and was described by him in 1805. The species name crassifolia means with thick leaves.
