Balonne River – week 2

We are continuing to enjoy our stay in the Balonne Shire. We are enjoying the wildlife, and our bird list is growing. We are seeing plenty of reptiles and kangaroos and wallabies.

The list of the variety of birds is growing, but each species is small in number. We see signs of reptiles more than we physically see them, but tracks indicate there is abundance of large lizards and snakes.

Thunderstorms are prevalent over the last few days and are impressive, the countryside gives you a great opportunity to see the full extent of a storm as it glides over the landscape. The sunsets are equally impressive.
