For the benefit of the family we have set up the VHF radio to use APRS therefore you can follow us via https://aprs.fi  do a search on VK4VSI-9. vk4vsi-9-i will also show but it uses an iPhone AP and relies on a 3G-4G network.  Where suitable VHF repeaters exist nearby to us you should see us and when they don’t we hope to digipeat through the International Space Station (ISS) via 145.825 MHz. If ISS system is down we hope we will connect through other space based platform (PCSAT-1). Hoping to chat back to home via HF Net: 3.570 MHz LSB SSB.  When remote we will use VKS737 to advise of schedule for the day. If all fails there is the mobile phone  : ) where a connection exists (haha) and satellite phone where not (we will check at night). Sending a text message to satellite phone is a reasonable priced option, number one daughter has our number.  This trip will be a good opportunity to test all our comms.
