We left Bedourie after a swim in the artesian fed Spa owned and operated by Council. One simply gets key from the pub and lets themselves into this well setup and constructed facility . It’s grassy and has a 25m pool and spa. A big footy competition was in town so a few notable footballers were in town.
We stop at Eyre Creek, where we have camped before. Eco toilets are provided. A spot on the bank under a tree that perhaps has seen more years than both our ages put together makes for a good spot.
Water birds are cruising up and down this small waterway and we sight pelicans in the morning.
We leave early as showers can be seen to the South, we stop at the Carcory hot bore and ruins and of course the environmentally important Waddi tree. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acacia_peuce
We make Birdsville before lunch and finally setup prior to the arrival of the expected 400 caravan park guests later this afternoon.
