We have spent a few days in Kununurra enjoying the time catching up with our friends.

Dinner at the Pump House at sunset as usual was quite special and dinner at the Kimberley Grande was also great. Other towns would learn a lesson about service at Kununurra, always helpful, chatty and obliging. Interestingly we met a lot of Queenslanders working in many of the hotels and tourist sites.

We had time to fix broken bits and stock up with food for the next part of the trip.

We are now in Mataranka after a big drive from Kununurra. We enjoyed a swim in the thermal pool and now about to have a hot meal at the Mataranka Homestead. The night is warm and we have clear skies.
