We are in Broome for the day.

A walk along Cable Beach, lots of walkers and runners out. The beach has been churned over in many areas by ghost crabs. Didn’t realise it but the third  communication link between Australia and Europe was established with the installation in 1889 of a submarine  communication cable from Cable Beach to Java. A fitting name for the beach.

Breakfast at the Dragonfly cafe in Broome.

The Courthouse markets in Broome have just started again given the dry season has arrived. So we pay them a visit.

Dinner at Matsos and home for early night. We have a 5am start to make our way to the boat.
