A quick trip to the Brisbane airport with ten minutes to spare saw us heading off on our 4 hour flight to Darwin.

It was warm (hot)and humid and the rain, seemingly falls from even small clouds giving the effect of bright sunshine and heavy rain.

The view from the hotel is great, across the esplanade looking south. The message in their foyer is a good one.

Our favourite Greek  restaurant in Darwin didn’t disappoint, great food and Greek music.

Sitting in our room listening to fireworks,  not aligned to any formal celebration.

Tomorrow it’s Kununurra, picking up friends then Broome.
