We wake to another beautiful sunrise. Early morning walk along the beach then coffee at the cafe, only staff, wildlife and us present.

We pack up camp and head back to the main road and head North to our next campsite at Gambanan situated on Curlew Bay. The water is a rich mix of blues. Very picturesque. Looking forward to the tide going out and exploring the mangroves and coral.

Had lunch then off exploring. There is a little bit of Vine Thicket and when mixed with mangroves, woodland and rocky outcrops it makes for diverse habitat and plenty of species.

Honeyeaters of all kinds are abundant, varied sitella, fairy wrens, finches and black cockatoos just to name a few.

Had a look at an aboriginal fish trap, a series of rock barriers that are covered by a high tide but trap fish on a lowering tide. It had many small hard coral bommies inside, some must be very old. Every rock was covered with oysters and critters that look like they were tribolites from the Paleozoic era.

A mangrove walk was mandatory. A number of species seen that are not seen around home. Hoping our Mangrove Watching friends can ID them. Many creatures small love the soft sandy mud.

Hot meal, damper, campfire and glorious sunset to finish day.
