Day 21 – 23 – Manning Gorge
Dropped into Gibb River and had lunch with Margie’s nursing friend Mary-Jane.
Made camp at Manning River on Mt Barnnett Station, a wonderful river and waterfall. To get to the falls we have to swim the river. When carrying your gear across the river one uses a foam esky or you load it up into a tinnie as we did and pulled the boat across on a pulley system with the gear and Annie on board.
It’s a 1 hour walk to the gorge but it’s certainly worth it.
Wildflowers are still prevalent as are frogs and birds.
Camp fire at night and night skies are just brilliant.
